The elimination of wheels, gears, cables and pulleys in the design of all Marine Hydra Lift boat lifts greatly reduces the risk of injury to you, your family, and your guests. The control switch used to activate the boat lift can be locked away and power interrupted from a switch in your home, preventing unauthorized use. Even the switch is designed so that the lift can only be activated by applying constant pressure on the switch (this prevents unsupervised raising or lowering of the lift). Power can be provided by 110 or 220 volt AC with a ground fault interrupt to prevent accidental shock. Twelve volt DC power is also available in situations where an extra margin of safety is demanded or where 110 or 220 volt AC is not available or practical (such as when the lift must be installed where the distance from shore is great or highly variable due to fluctuating water level conditions).
